Anacampseros rufescens

A compact South African succulent with clustered leaves that flush red to purple in bright light. Plants form dense rosettes to around 8 cm across and produce attractive pink flowers up to 2 cm wide during the warmer months.

Care

• Light: Best in partial shade outdoors or bright light indoors. Strong light enhances leaf colour.
• Water: Moderate watering in warmer months. Allow soil to dry between waterings. Very drought tolerant when mature.
• Temperature: Warm growing but tolerates mild frost if kept dry.
• Media: Free-draining succulent or cactus mix.
• Feeding: Use light fertiliser during active growth. Avoid high nitrogen to keep plants compact and colourful.
• Repotting: Can be left to clump tightly or repotted in warmer months into fresh mix.
