Cymbidium eburneum

A classic cool-growing species producing arching spikes of large, pure white flowers with a yellow-marked lip. Renowned for its elegance and strong, sweet fragrance. Flowers are long-lasting and often used in hybrid breeding.

• Light: Bright filtered light, similar to other cool-growing Cymbidiums.
• Water: Water regularly during active growth, keeping the mix just moist; reduce slightly in winter.
• Temperature: Cool to intermediate (5–25 °C); tolerates light frost when established.
• Media: Free-draining Cymbidium mix in deep pots to accommodate strong root growth.
• Fertiliser: Regular feeding with balanced fertiliser in spring/summer, switching to bloom booster in autumn to encourage spikes.
